This Privacy Policy describes how the “श्री हित चौरासी जी पाठ” mobile application (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use it. We built this app to help you read and listen to the 84 padas composed by Goswami Shri Hit Harivansh Chandra Mahaprabhu, and we’ve tried to collect as little data as possible while doing so.

1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information Stored Only On Your Device
The App does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number to use it.
The following information is stored locally on your device only, and is never transmitted to us or any third party:
- Your reading progress (last pad read, scroll position)
- Your audio listening progress and playback position
- Bookmarked padas
- App preferences (font size, theme, line spacing, keep-screen-on setting)
- Daily reading/listening activity and streak data (used to show your progress within the app)
If you uninstall the App, this locally stored data is permanently deleted from your device.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
We use Firebase, a service provided by Google, for two purposes: understanding how the App is used, and diagnosing crashes. Firebase may automatically collect:
Via Firebase Analytics:
- App interaction events (for example: which pad you opened, when audio playback starts/pauses, when a bookmark is added, when search is used, when a daily reading streak is completed)
- Basic device and app information (device model, operating system version, app version, language settings, approximate location derived from IP address, and a randomly generated app-instance identifier)
Via Firebase Crashlytics:
- Crash reports and diagnostic logs if the App crashes or encounters an error, including device state, stack traces, app version, and operating system version at the time of the crash
This information is not linked to your name, email, or any other personally identifying information, since the App has no login system. It is associated only with an anonymous, randomly generated identifier tied to your device/app installation.
1.3 Audio Streaming
When you play audio in the App, an audio file is streamed or downloaded from our content server. This involves a standard network request (which, like any internet connection, naturally exposes your device’s IP address to that server) so that the correct audio file can be delivered to you. We do not separately collect or store this information ourselves.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information described above only to:
- Understand which features are used and how, so we can improve the App
- Identify and fix crashes and technical problems
- Ensure the App functions correctly (for example, delivering the correct audio file when you press play)
We do not use your information for advertising. The App does not contain ads and does not share data with advertising networks.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your information. Information collected via Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics is processed by Google LLC, which acts as our data processor for these services. You can review Google’s own data-handling practices at their Privacy Policy.
We do not share any other information with third parties.
4. Data Security
Locally stored data (your reading/listening progress, bookmarks, and preferences) never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share something yourself (for example, using the App’s “Share” feature). Data sent to Firebase is transmitted using industry-standard encryption and is subject to Google’s security practices.
5. Your Choices
- Since the App does not use accounts, there is no “delete my account” action needed — locally stored data is removed automatically when you uninstall the App.
- You can request deletion of any analytics/crash data associated with your device by contacting us at yugalomg@gmail.com; please note that because this data is anonymous and not linked to your identity, we may only be able to act on device/instance identifiers you can provide us.
- You can control app permissions (such as notifications) at any time from your device’s Settings.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email below and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we add a new feature that changes what information we collect. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
