  1. (a) What is the difference between multi – programming and multi processing ?

Multi-programming और और multiprocessing  मे क्या अंतर  होता है ।

(b) Discuss the services provided by an operating system.

operating system  हमें कौन सी सेवाएं देता है ? समझाइए ।

(c) What is the difference between compiler and assemblers ?

Compiler  और Assembler मैं क्या अंतर है ?

  1. (a) What is CPU scheduling? What are the main criteria for CPU scheduling?

CPU scheduling क्या है? CPU scheduling के मुख्य कसौटीयों को बताइए ।

(b) Consider the following set of process that arrives of time omd and use time quantum of 4 ms, then calculate the average turnaround time and average waiting time using Round – Robin Scheduling.

निम्नलिखित प्रक्रियाओं के सेट पर विचार करते हुए जो कि OMS पर आती है तथा 04ms का क्वांटम प्रयोग करते हुए Round – Robin scheduling  से average turn around time व average waiting time  निकालिये –

(c) Explain process synchronization. What do you understand by critical section?

Dead lock  क्या है ? Dead lock  होने के लिए जरूरी condition  को समझाइए ।

(b) Explain dead lock detection and dead lock recovery.

Dead lock detection और dead lock recovery को समझाइए ।

  1. (a) What do you understand by logical, relative and physical address?

Logical, relative  और Physical address से आप क्या समझते हो ?

(b) Compare and construct demand paging and virtual memory.

Demand paging व Virtual memory को construct करते हुए compare कीजिए ।

  1. 5. (A) Explain all access method of file system in short.

File system   के सभी access विधियों  को संक्षेप में समझाइए ।

( B) Explain various operations possible on file.

एक फाइल पर होने वाले विभिन्न operation को बताइए ।
